#2622 Daytime shankin'

Shoot daytime quite often. Gotta be clear water though. Cloud cover kills your ability to see. It has to have the right conditions. Sun, little wind, and clear water.

#1793 Ams bottle reel or push button reel. why?

AMS hands down. Don't get a push button unless you enjoy swimming.......

#1375 Pocket Knife Clip Positioning

Posted by whaknstak on 21 March 2013 - 12:26 PM

I carry a spyderco endura with the Emerson opener. Carry it tip up in my left pocket for weapon retention. Its the fastest way to deploy a blade I have found. When I remove it from my pocket, it catches my pocket and opens on its own. Love this blade.

#1113 New addition

Picked this up yesterday. Sks 7.62x39. Bigger bullets, more readily available ammo, and about half the price of the cheapest AR right now. Can't wait to shoot it.

#582 Any waterfowl hunters??

Posted by whaknstak on 23 February 2013 - 02:37 AM

The only birds I'll pass shoot are teal and woodies...But only if they are inside 30 yards. The rest gotta be cupped.

Ill agree on woodies. They fly in range and they are not coming back. That's about the extent of it though

How well do the LEDs light up the water vs the regular MH and could you run them off a gen.?

That's the beauty of led. No need for a genny. 12 or 24 v circuit.

#362 LED's for bowfishing! Cheapest price!

#330 New bowfisher gets on his first fish

Posted by whaknstak on 16 February 2013 - 11:22 PM

Took my cousin out this afternoon on the river. He shot one fish with his new setup. It was a treat to have him with me enjoying the outdoors and just hanging out together. He's hooked lol. I shot the other three.

I like it! Did you use Plywood and 2x4s for the platform, or something else?

1/4" and 2x4s. Braced like a figure 8

#162 How can we draw people to the site?
